RON ARAD: RESTLESS

RON ARAD: RESTLESS

Location: Barbican, LDN.

Dates: 18 Feb- 16 May ’10

I am rather excited about seeing this exhibition at the Barbican, it just seems to be everywhere I look at the moment, however it is the first major show dedicated to Ron Arad here in the UK even though he is a London- based designer. Arad is an internationally acclaimed designer, architect and artist whose designs are experimental and inventive. The show apparently gives us an insight into the development of certain objects from an initial conceptual stance to a finished design, highlighting the significance of the process. It explores how his work has developed over the past three decades, from his early raw, post- punk approach to his later more exclusive, sculptural pieces. Exciting stuff I say…
